How long does a website take to build?

Most builds go from kickoff to launch in two to three weeks. The single biggest variable is how quickly we get your photos, service list and any existing copy — projects that stall almost always stall there, not in development. Larger multi-location sites run four to six weeks.

Do I own my website?

Accepted Answer

On a one-time build, yes — outright, including the code, the moment it's paid for. On a monthly plan we own and maintain the site while you're a client, and you can buy it out at any point for the remaining balance of the one-time price. Either way, your domain is always yours and stays in your name.

Question 3

What do you need from me to get started?

Accepted Answer

Photos of your completed work (phone photos are fine), a list of the services you offer, the towns you serve, and access to your domain and Google Business Profile. If you have existing copy we'll use what's worth keeping. Everything else we write.

Question 4

Why not just use Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy?

You absolutely can, and for a business that just needs a digital business card it's a reasonable choice. The trade-offs show up when you want to rank: those platforms load slower, give you less control over page structure and schema, and cap how far you can take local SEO. If the site is meant to bring in work rather than just exist, that ceiling matters.

How long until I see results from SEO?

Speed and conversion improvements land the day the site goes live. Local rankings typically start moving at 60 to 90 days and compound from there. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either buying ads and calling it SEO, or telling you what you want to hear.

Do you work with businesses outside San Diego?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We're based in San Diego and know this market cold, but roughly half our clients are elsewhere. Local SEO works the same way in Phoenix as it does in Escondido — the process doesn't change, only the map does.

What if I already have a website?

Accepted Answer

We'll audit it first and tell you honestly whether it needs a rebuild or just needs fixing. Sometimes the answer is that your site is fine and your Google Business Profile is the actual problem, which is a much cheaper conversation. We'd rather tell you that than sell you a rebuild you don't need.

Can you handle my logo, business cards and truck wraps?

Yes — brand and identity work is available alongside any plan. It's usually worth doing at the same time as the site so everything matches from day one rather than being reconciled later.

Who writes the content?

Accepted Answer

We do. You'll get a draft of every page to review and correct, because you know your trade and we don't want to put words in your mouth that a customer will call you on. But you're not being handed a blank document and a deadline.

What happens after launch?

On any plan with ongoing management, edits are included — text me a change and it's typically live the same day. You get monthly reporting in plain English: what moved, what didn't, and the next three things we're doing about it.

What's the difference between monthly and one-time?

Accepted Answer

Monthly has no build fee — you start for the first month's payment and the site stays maintained, hosted and updated for as long as you're a client. One-time means you pay the build cost up front and own the site outright, then carry a smaller care plan for hosting, updates and support. Same site either way; it's purely a cash-flow decision.

Is there a contract?

Monthly plans run on a 12-month initial term, then month-to-month. That term exists because SEO takes time to compound and it isn't fair to either of us to judge the work at 60 days. After the first year you can cancel with 30 days' notice.

Question 13

What happens to my site if I cancel a monthly plan?

Accepted Answer

You can buy the site out at any time for the remaining balance of the one-time price, and we hand over the code and the domain. If you'd rather just walk, you keep your domain and your content — we simply stop hosting and maintaining the site.

Question 14

Are there setup fees on monthly plans?

Accepted Answer

No. The first month's payment starts the project. That's the entire reason the monthly option exists — most contractors would rather not write a five-figure check before they've seen a single lead.
